Cammodelkit Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cammodelkit handles information when you use the desktop application, website, downloads, update services, documentation, and support resources. Cammodelkit is designed as local-first desktop software: most configuration and event data stays on your own device unless you choose to connect third-party services.
1. Information You Provide
You may provide information when you configure Cammodelkit or contact support, including:
- Broadcaster account names, channel identifiers, and display names.
- OAuth tokens, API tokens, client IDs, client secrets, and platform URLs.
- OBS WebSocket settings and local server settings.
- Tip menu, command, overlay, game, device, toy, lighting, and automation settings.
- Support messages, diagnostic details, screenshots, logs, or crash details you choose to send.
2. Information Stored Locally by the App
Depending on the features you enable, Cammodelkit may store local data on your device, including:
- Chat events, tips, follows, user presence, private messages, and event history.
- Viewer memory, queue records, game state, overlay settings, and stats snapshots.
- Device names, device identifiers, Bluetooth details, light settings, toy settings, and Cync cloud session details.
- OAuth sessions and platform credentials for services such as Chaturbate or Joystick.tv.
- Local app preferences and update metadata.
Cammodelkit uses local files, local databases, and the operating system's available secure storage mechanisms where implemented for sensitive configuration. You control the computer where this data is stored.
3. Information From Third-Party Services
When you connect third-party services, Cammodelkit may receive data from those services so enabled features can work. Examples include chat messages, tips, follows, viewer presence, stream events, OBS state, media state, device status, lighting state, and account metadata. Those services have their own privacy policies and terms.
4. Information Sent to Third Parties
Cammodelkit sends information to third parties only as needed for the integrations you configure. Examples include:
- OAuth authorization and token requests to connected platforms.
- WebSocket or API requests to livestreaming, OBS, lighting, device, media, and automation services.
- Commands you trigger, such as overlay updates, chat actions, light effects, or device actions.
- Update checks or downloads from Cammodelkit's website or release host.
5. Website, Downloads, and Update Services
When you visit the Cammodelkit website, download files, or request update metadata, the hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser or client details, requested URLs, timestamps, referrer, and error logs. This information is used to operate the website, deliver downloads, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage.
6. How Information Is Used
Cammodelkit uses information to:
- Provide and operate configured app features.
- Store your local settings and event history.
- Connect to accounts, devices, APIs, and local services you choose to use.
- Display overlays, queues, alerts, chat history, stats, and automations.
- Provide updates, downloads, support, troubleshooting, and security improvements.
- Protect the software, website, users, and connected services from abuse or security issues.
7. Sharing
Cammodelkit does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that operate the website, downloads, updates, support, analytics, or security infrastructure. Information may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer.
8. Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear it through Cammodelkit, uninstall the app, or remove the relevant files. Third-party platforms and hosting providers may retain their own logs and records under their policies. Support messages may be retained as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and protect against abuse.
9. Security
Cammodelkit is designed to keep most app data local and to use secure storage for sensitive configuration where implemented. No software or transmission method is perfectly secure. You should protect your computer account, operating system keychain, app data directory, API keys, OAuth credentials, platform tokens, and device credentials.
10. Your Choices
You can limit information handling by:
- Not connecting optional third-party accounts or devices.
- Revoking platform tokens from the third-party platform.
- Clearing local app configuration and event history.
- Disabling optional overlay, chat, stats, device, toy, lighting, game, or viewer memory features.
- Contacting support to request deletion of support messages you sent, where applicable.
11. Adult Content and Viewer Data
Cammodelkit is intended for adult creators and may process data from adult-oriented streams when you connect those platforms. You are responsible for providing any notices, obtaining any consents, and following platform rules and laws that apply to your stream, viewers, moderators, collaborators, and connected devices.
12. Children
Cammodelkit is not intended for children or for anyone under 18. Do not use Cammodelkit to collect information from children.
13. International Use
If you use Cammodelkit outside your country of residence or connect services in other countries, information may be processed in locations where the app, website, hosting providers, platform providers, or device services operate. You are responsible for using Cammodelkit in compliance with laws that apply to you.
14. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when the latest version was posted. Continued use of Cammodelkit after changes become effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Cammodelkit operator through the support channel listed on the Cammodelkit website or project page.
